So, I promised everyone I'd talk about what has happened since we opened the doors. There is very little negative I have to say, honestly. About the only thing I would say is that I'd love for everyone to participate and either hype up their matches on Twitter, or do segments, or both. There are a few folks that can up their games, but I won't be callous and name names. That's a personal decision, and also involves things like time and other real-life issues. I try to stand by the fact that everyone will get in what they put in, yet I know with at least a few characters I, personally, have probably fallen short of my goal. So, moving forward into these next cycles, I give you my word that I'll try and do better on that front.
Now. The positive. Oh my God, I could gush and gush and gush for hours on this. No joke here, I could fill pages with everything. That said, I'll try and keep this as brief as possible. The biggest thing that I talk to others about outside our little company is that we seem to have a solid community that all gets along well. If you've ever read the OOC Chat on Twitter, or participated in that craziness, then you know what I mean! I've been blessed with people that can help get graphics, people willing to write multiple matches per show...both of them things I worried about when throwing open the application process. I know I've said this multiple times before, but it bears repeating: I am truly humbled by everything everyone has done to help make this successful. The real credit for WWR's success is not mine. It's yours, the players, the writers, the ones putting your characters in my hands and trusting in me. It has been an unexpected blessing I've received from you all, and one that I am extremely grateful for every single day.
Time for a little shop-keeping! The new show will be made available Thursday night, probably late, but it will go up before 1 am EST. That is intentional, and it's to coincide with Battleground moving to Thursdays starting with New Year's Revolution. The biggest reason this is being done, honestly, is to give me a little more time to write my own matches and get them into the shows a little earlier, which I'm hoping means our shows are posted prior to 12 am EST. On that note, if anyone has a conflict with anywhere else they're playing with the character(s) they have here, let me know and we'll certainly find a work-around.
Did you say titles? Yes, yes I did. I've been thinking a lot about this the last couple of weeks as we worked toward Rising, and I know we have the roster to support one more singles title. It might not be long before we're having to look at adding yet another championship as well, just looking at the size of the roster. To that end, I promised you the attached poll, and it asks what type of title you want to see added. There is a timer on the poll, so the sooner you vote the sooner your opinion is registered.
In closing, I have to say this again. You all humble me with the love you show WWR. This doesn't happen without you. None of this does. I believe that WWR has a bright and lasting future in our game, and it's because of what you all do. Enough gushing and mushiness. Vote in the poll. Chat it up with IC banter and OOC craziness on Twitter.
Most of all? Have fun!
